15. Bronn and Jaime Lannister

What happened to the duo: The last time these two met, Cersei sent Bronn north to kill Jaime and Tyrion. But Bronn, knowing Cersei was going to lose the war, opted to bargain instead, and at the end of the show ended up with the castle he always wanted! Jaime, on the other hand, ran back south to Cersei. So they didn’t end things on the best of terms, not they didn’t end them on the worst of terms either.

Why they were so great: Jaime and Bronn were not instant friends. Tyrion was the one to introduce them when Jaime needed help learning to swordfight with his off-hand after he lost his sword hand. Fighting with Bronn helped give him back a sense of purpose.

Jaime reenlisted Bronn to fight by his side after he got engaged to the wealthy Lollys Stokeworth, Cersei’s reward for him not helping Tyrion in his trial by combat. Even though he ended up with an even greater prize, Bronn was pretty miffed about this, and he and Jaime never really became warm with each other. But that did make for some entertaining scenes. When are you gonna give him that castle, Jaime?

Bronn knew all of Jaime’s weaknesses by training with him. Jaime could have taken Bronn down easily with some sort of lie or manipulation, but the two worked together and there was no judgment between them, although there were plenty of comedic moments.
