Moon Knight

Release Date: TBA

Cast: Oscar Issac, May Calamawy

Moon Knight, aka Marc Spector, is a vigilante superhero with dissociative identity disorder. He’s an intriguing character, and this series could just be the beginning for him.

  • Moon Knight has been around since 1975. Over the years, Marc Spector has been in the CIA, in the Marines and was even a boxer for a while. He’s seen too much. He’s on the fringe. While he might not be as well-known as some of the other Avengers, his story will be relatable in many ways.
  • Spector’s struggles with mental health and multiple personalities will be a big step for Marvel. Tony Stark’s PTSD after the events of the first Avengers movie was well-depicted, and there have been glimpses of other characters struggling with mental health in recent years, but Moon Knight takes things to the next level.
  • The show is set to film in Budapest, but Egyptian mythology plays heavily into the story, which is something haven’t seen yet in the MCU. Norse mythology plays heavily in Thor’s story, of course, but the Egyptian mythology offers so much to work with.
