Production is moving forward on the new Marvel series She-Hulk. Naturally, Mark Ruffalo will be a part of it, and we have the proof!

Disney has a lot of Marvel TV series coming down the pike — LokiHawkeyeMs. Marvel, etc. One of the most interesting is She-Hulk, which is about Bruce Banner’s cousin Jennifer Walters, to be played by Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany. In the comics, Jennifer gets her powers after getting a blood transfusion from her cousin Bruce, which makes her super-strong and gives her green skin. But unlike Bruce, who famously can’t control what he does when he turns into the Hulk, Jennifer retains all her cognitive faculties, and even continues to practice as a lawyer…just a very tall green one.

It’s a fun idea, and it makes sense that the upcoming show has been described as a legal comedy. It also means that Mark Ruffalo will get to show up as Bruce Banner! In fact, actor Anais Almonte recently posted a picture on her Facebook of herself with Ruffalo on set:

Ruffalo is wearing a mo-cap suit and covered in little dots. That tells us that he’s performing as Professor Hulk, the new, gentler version of the Hulk he debuted in Avengers: Endgame. We never did see exactly how he got the Hulk side of him under control. Perhaps he’ll teach Jessica how to handle her own powers and fill us in?

This is assuming that She-Hulk even goes with the original comic story of Jessica getting superpowers after getting a blood transfusion from Bruce; the series isn’t technically bound by that, although it’s an obvious option. In any case, we’ll find out exactly what goes down when She-Hulk comes out on Disney+ in 2022.

Next. First looks at Shazam 2, Michael Keaton’s return as Batman in The Flash. dark
