Sansa becomes Queen in the North

By the end of season 8, Sansa Stark rules a true and sovereign kingdom in the North. Last we see them in the books, she and Petyr Baelish are scheming in the Vale, trying to unite that kingdom by marrying Sansa to Harry the Heir. In due time and with the help of Petyr, Sansa might rise to the top, becoming the ruler of both the Vale and the North with Petyr by her side. It’s very possible that Sansa could end her arc by ruling Winterfell.

"Petyr arched an eyebrow. “When Robert dies. Our poor brave Sweetrobin is such a sickly boy, it is only a matter of time. When Robert dies, Harry the Heir becomes Lord Harrold, Defender of the Vale and Lord of the Eyrie. Jon Arryn’s bannermen will never love me, nor our silly, shaking Robert, but they will love their Young Falcon … and when they come together for his wedding, and you come out with your long auburn hair, clad in a maiden’s cloak of white and grey with a direwolf emblazoned on the back … why, every knight in the Vale will pledge his sword to win you back your birthright. So those are your gifts from me, my sweet Sansa … Harry, the Eyrie, and Winterfell. That’s worth another kiss now, don’t you think?” Alayne, A Feast for Crows"

Jon Snow kills Daenerys Targaryen

The final of the three twist mentioned could also be Jon Snow murdering Daenerys Targaryen to keep her from ascending the Iron Throne. These two haven’t even met in the books yet, but there’s the last time a Stark and a Targaryen got together it ended in disaster, and we wouldn’t be surprised if history repeated itself.

In the books, Jon’s character is currently dead, but we don’t imagine he’ll stay that way for long.
