Tom Felton (Draco) poses a fun question to Harry Potter and Twilight fans

Tom Felton, who famously played Draco Malfoy in all eight Harry Potter movies, has been stirring up some nostalgic feels on Instagram this week as he asks fans one very interesting question–who would win in a battle, Draco Malfoy or Alice Cullen?

This inquiry is directed at those folks who have spent countless hours dedicating their lives to the fandoms of Harry Potter and Twilight, two of the biggest movie franchises, like ever.

Potterheads and Twi-Hards alike were (and still are) extremely dedicated to their respective franchise, and to this day, any mention of either sends fans into a frenzy. The latest on that front is courtesy of Tom Felton who shared fan-edited images of Draco and Alice squaring off in a battle at Hogwarts.

He then proceeded to ask the question–“Draco vs. Alice…who would win? #Dralice #Alico.”

I mean, as a Potterhead I’d have to side with Draco, as evil as he was throughout the entire run of Harry Potter. He has magic and Alice Cullen has her sharp vampire fangs; is this really even a match? Okay well, she does have the ability to see the future and can always be a few steps ahead of him and counter his every move before he makes it. So there’s that, but I’m a Potterhead through and through so my loyalty lies there.

Anyway, Ashley Greene, who played the role of Alice Cullen, started this whole debate on her Instagram Story when she asked:

"“Guys I have a very important update. Draco brought me lunch today. It was delicious. We formed an alliance. He taught me wizard things. I told him about his future. It was pretty epic. And now we’re best friends.”"

Wait, what?

The Tom Felton/Ashley Greene connection

As it turns out, Felton and Greene are currently working together on a film called Some Other Woman, a psychological thriller about a woman who goes off to a tropical island while another woman (played by Greene) starts to replace her. That sounds…interesting?

Moving on, Greene posted a poll question on her Instagram Story asking fans to vote on who would win in a battle, Draco or Alice? The results were extremely close with Draco at 51% and Alice at 49%, so it looks like it could be anyone’s battle to win. I still say Draco and even with a 2% gap, the fans have all spoken on who is the winner here.

I am excited about seeing these two on-screen together especially because their careers started off in a similar fashion. They were both part of major young adult franchises and they both worked with Robert Pattinson in their films. Pattinson briefly played the role of Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and was the leading man, Edward Cullen in the Twilight films. Talk about having a lot to bond over! That has got to be fun.

While this was just an imaginary scenario to reignite nostalgia from both franchises, I’ve now spent the last hour wondering what a Draco and Alice battle would look like. Way to go guys, now we all want to see it happen! Any chance it can? Please?

That’s probably wishful thinking but we can let our imaginations run wild while we check out all the Harry Potter films on Peacock and all the Twilight films on Netflix.
