TV is coming! Not that it’s been gone, but there are quite a few new shows and movies and coming to streaming services and networks near you, including several of the sci-fi, fantasy and action variety. Let’s look at a few now, starting with FX’s Y: The Last Man.

Based on Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra’s hit comic, Y: The Last Man is about a world where every man on the planet is killed by a mysterious ailment…all save one last man, Yorick (and his monkey companion Ampersand.) Although there’s been a lot of turnover at high levels behind the scenes of this series, things seemed to level out under showrunner Eliza Clark, and we finally have a trailer:

Ben Schnetzer plays Yorick. The cast also includes the likes of Imogen Poots, Lashana Lynch, Juliana Canfield, Marin Ireland, Amber Tamblyn and Diane Lane. Y: The Last Man premieres on FX on Hulu on September 13.

Finally, Netflix also dropped a trailer for Kate, an action movie where Mary Elizabeth Winstead plays an assassin who has a limited amount of time to find the person who poisoned her before she dies. Woody Harrelson is also here:

Kate comes out on Netflix on September 10. We’ll see how this one stacks up against their last attempt at sort of female John Wick movie:

Next. Gunpowder Milkshake is a stylish action flick worth your time. dark
