Gwendoline Christie plays Marlene Dietrich, and more Game of Thrones celeb stuff

Whether they’re landing interesting new roles or launching new brands, the cast of Game of Thrones is always up to something. Let’s start with Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth), who will be playing Lucifer in Netflix’s The Sandman. Soon, she’ll play big screen icon Marlene Dietrich in BBC Radio’s Leni Goes to Hollywood. Created by Colin Shindle, this 44-minute drama tells the story of German filmmaker Leni Riefenstahl. “Thrilled to be fulfilling a lifelong ambition to play Marlene Dietrich in a cameo role alongside a wonderful cast!” Christie wrote on Instagram.

Besides Christie, the cast of this audio drama includes Elinor Coleman (Leni Riefenstahl), Shaun Mason (Ernst Jaeger), Nancy Crane (Hedda Hopper), and Simon Ludders (Goebbels/Walt Disney).

“In a blend of fact and fantasy, this psychological portrait becomes an exploration of artistic obsession and driving ambition,” the official BBC description reads. “It poses the question, to what extent can the art ever be separated from the artist?

You can catch Leni Goes to Hollywood today (August 23) on BBC Radio 4, or later on catch-up!

The Mountain from Game of Thrones starts a yogurt brand

Hafþór “Thor” Björnsson — The Mountain from Game of Thrones — is one of the strongest men in the world. He’s also an entrepreneur who’s launching his very own yogurt brand: Thor’s Skyr. Given Skyr’s Icelandic heritage, this feels very on-brand for Björnsson.

Even though he’s training hard, he still finds time for meditation…in a field full of cows. Each to their own.

Pedro Pascal becomes a wine spokesperson

Pedro Pascal (Oberyn Martell) and wine just go together really well, although I’ve always thought of wine as more of a Lannister drink. Either way, Pascal deserves to enjoy a glass or two for all his hard work, including filming The Mandalorian season 3 and working on the year-long production of HBO’s The Last of Us show.

On Instagram, the actor announced his new role as a brand ambassador for Casillero del Diablo, with a photo of himself posing with one of their signature bottles:

In a video, he said he was “thrilled” to be a part of the Casillero del Diablo legend:
