The Umbrella Academy wraps filming on its “best season yet”
The Umbrella Academy season 3 is officially one step closer to arriving on Netflix, with the cast and crew announcing the end of filming this week. That means a trailer and release date could be on the horizon.
Showrunner Steve Blackman celebrated the milestone with an Instagram post featuring the main cast. The video, which was also shared to the show’s official Twitter, opens with star Elliot Page revealing the group wrapped filming on the new episodes. He says he’s “stoked” for fans to see them.
Following Page’s appearance, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher,
Emmy Raver-Lampman, Justin H. Min, Colm Feore, and Ritu Arya all share similar sentiments about wrapping The Umbrella Academy’s third season.
Raver-Lampman ramps up the excitement by teasing the show’s “best season yet.” She adds, “I don’t think the world’s ready for this.”
When will The Umbrella Academy season 3 come out on Netflix?
With production over and done with, you may be wondering when we’ll see The Umbrella Academy season 3 arrive on Netflix. It’s been over a year since the Hargreeves siblings reshaped history in season 2, and fans are eager to know what happens next.
Unfortunately, the streamer hasn’t revealed when the new episodes might drop — and there’s likely post-production work to be done before it’s ready for viewing. With that in mind, a 2022 release date seems the most likely.
Perhaps Netflix will share more details about The Umbrella Academy season 3 during its streaming event, Tudum, later this month. In the meantime, fans can revisit the first two chapters of the series on the streamer.
