5. Qi’ra series

Who’s the Crimson Dawn-leading, fearsome-yet-wholesome operative who once stole Han Solo’s heart? That’s Qi’ra. And after just one live-action appearance in Solo: A Star Wars Story, we can’t get enough.

Qi’ra is played by the wonderful Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen, the Khaleesi, Mother of Dragons, et al. on Game of Thrones.) And Clarke’s shining presence in that film alone makes Qi’ra worthy of an on-screen comeback.

At the end of Solo, the former leader of the Crimson Dawn syndicate, Dryden Vos, died. And in his absence, Qi’ra rose to power. Perhaps it’s not quite the career trajectory that she wanted, but she’s making the most of it.

So, what could the spinoff be based on? Qi’ra is reintroduced in the Star Wars: Bounty Hunters comic. In an issue released in 2021, it’s revealed that Qi’ra is still leading the Crimson Dawn. That issue served as an entry point for her very own Qi’ra spinoff comic.

That comic would be the perfect source material for a live-action series. The show doesn’t necessarily have to be a direct adaptation of that comic run. But anything about Qi’ra’s life around that time period (post-Solo) is bound to be interesting, and we would absolutely love to see more of Emilia Clarke in a galaxy far, far away.
