10 Star Wars spinoff projects we wish were real

9. Jedi: Fallen Order series
As we’ve seen, storytelling in Star Wars video games is rich. So let’s talk about a newer Star Wars video game that has gained a big following: Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Prior to this game, Electronic Arts was in hot water over the microtransactions scandal that plagued the 2017 game Star Wars Battlefront II. But when Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order came around in 2019, (almost) all was forgiven.
The gameplay itself is fun, but we can’t skim over the story. The game follows the journey of Cal Kestis, a Jedi-in-hiding. He was once a padawan being taught the ways of the Jedi. But of course, under the Empire, he must conceal his abilities and try not to get caught. Unfortunately, he can’t stay hidden for long, and the adventure gets cranked up to a 11 when the Empire’s Inquisitors begin to hunt him down.
According to a rumor from We Got This Covered in 2019, Lucasfilm had been considering the idea of adapting the work. The article says that the studio wasn’t sure if they wanted it to be a series or a movie. There’s been no update in the time since. And we don’t quite know if Lucasfilm has moved on from the idea, or if they ever even considered it. But we think fans wouldn’t have a problem if Lucasfilm did announce that they’ve decided to adapt Fallen Order, or possibly even create a live-action sequel to the game.
