Amazon’s The Wheel of Time show will premiere on November 19. The show joins the likes of The Witcher as one of television’s newest fantasy adaptations, but unlike the Netflix Original, the upcoming Prime series will release episodes on a weekly basis.

There might be some confusion as to when those first episodes will be available for viewing across the globe for Amazon Prime subscribers. Let’s clear it up.

The first three episodes of The Wheel of Time are scheduled to release on November 19, while following episodes will drop weekly through December 24. The Wheel of Time joins others shows like The Mandalorian in shifting away from Netflix’s drop-all-the-episodes-at-once model and returning to weekly releases. This could help make The Wheel of Time “appointment television,” something that’s been more rare in the streaming era.

If you’re considering watching The Wheel of Time the moment it’s released, whether to avoid spoilers on social media in the morning or as a reward for your long patience, the question you may be asking is, “What time will it release on Amazon Prime Video?”

There’s a lot of information out there, and nothing seems completely confirmed, but what’s commonly reported is that Amazon Prime Video releases their original series based on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) . Simply put, those who live west of Iceland will be treated to an “early release,” at least if those reports are borne out.

Say The Wheel of Time does release on November 19 at 12:00 midnight GMT; in that case, fans from London will have to wait until 1:00 AM, or enjoy the episode in the morning along with time zones like Tokyo, Dubai, and New Delhi. On the other hand, the Americas would be getting the show on November 18, from 5:00 p.m. on the west coast and 8:00 p.m. on the east coast.

When watching The Wheel of Time, beware of time itself. Release times are complicated in the streaming era, where shows are made for and consumed by a global audience. Game of Thrones faced similar problems on cable as the show boomed in popularity outside of the U.S. And if you’re mindful of spoilers, best be wary going online if the episode hasn’t dropped in your area yet.
