Fantasy television is about to go from good to great this year because The Wheel of Time series is finally set to premiere.
The series comes to us from Amazon Prime Video, and many fans have been anxiously awaiting it. Of course, the books by Robert Jordan have been out for years, and been praised as some of the best fantasy writing out there.
And while we are right around the corner from seeing The Wheel of Time debut on Amazon, there is some slightly bad news. We’ll have to wait just a little longer for it to premiere, because The Wheel of Time won’t be arriving on Amazon Prime in October 2021. The streaming service released its list of shows and movies coming to the platform in October 2021, and The Wheel of Time is not among them.
But there is some good news in store, as we do know when the series will finally stream on Amazon.
The Wheel of Time season 1 release date
So it’s unfortunate that The Wheel of Time won’t come to Amazon in October. But the good news is that The Wheel of Time season 1 will be heading to Amazon on November 19, 2021.
On that day, three episodes are expected to drop. That’s right, Amazon is hitting the ground running with this show, which means you’ll have plenty to watch when the series premieres. (That, at least, makes up for all the time fans have been waiting to watch this.)
After the first three episodes premiere, the rest of the episodes will premiere every Friday. That means the eight-episode first season will conclude on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2021.
