4. The Alien

Back in 2016, acclaimed comic writer and author of beloved works such as Y: The Last Man and Saga wrote his own one-shot comic set within The Walking Dead universe. Rather than tell a tale with characters we already know, he decided to go in a completely different direction and set his story in Barcelona, Spain and follow Rick Grimes’ brother Jeffrey.

This comic, while short at 32 pages, comes at the apocalypse from a different angle. We finally got a glimpse at how other countries dealt with the outbreak. It’s not too eventful — we’re just watching Jeffrey Grimes and his new friend Claudia being chased down by walkers — but if we’re talking about a quick episode, this story shouldn’t be overlooked. They’ve already adapted a spinoff comic, “Here’s Negan,” into a one-shot episode, so why not another?
