7. Negan and The Saviors

This seems like it would be an obvious choice because the main show has already adapted the “Here’s Negan” comic, and it’s one of the most highly rated episodes in its history. Now, given how much the show loves to explore Negan’s past, an origin for his group The Saviors should be in order.

Based in The Sanctuary, Negan built up The Saviors to be one of the most brutal and powerful groups we’d ever seen in the show. He ruled with an iron fist, using his leadership skills to branch out and implement a regime that saw him take over and exploit other communities. And he was doing this long before Rick’s group got involved.

This episode could explain the origins of a few characters, from his right-hand man Simon (Steven Ogg) to his many “wives.” What’s more, Negan wasn’t even the first leader of The Saviors, he had to fight alongside Simon to take down the previous leader.

There’s so much we don’t know about the beginnings of this community, and more than enough to fill one episode of Tales of The Walking Dead. And if it means more Jeffrey Dean Morgan, it’s impossible to say no!
