The Children

When it comes to scary films about demonic kiddos, many of us automatically think about The Omen. I’m here to tell you that the scary Christmas movie The Children gives The Omen a run for its money. This low-budget British horror film will make you fear children like nobody’s business.

The movie revolves around two families celebrating the holidays together at an English estate. They’re supposed to be on a fun getaway, but after one of the kids gets sick and starts acting strange, things turn on their head. As it turns out, the children are exposed to some sort of disease that turns them into killers: tiny, psychotic, cold-blooded killers.

The trailer tells us everything we need to know about this wacky film, and while it may not be the best movie you’ll ever watch, it certainly fits the trope of scary Christmas movies. Given the nature of the film, it would probably be best not to watch it around children. Watching a bunch of little kids murder adults during Christmastime may not be the best way to kickstart the holiday season. And you don’t want to give them any ideas.

You can stream/buy/rent The Children on various platforms.
