Star Trek: Discovery season 4, part 2 — Paramount+ — February 10

There is lot of Star Trek stuff coming this year, starting with more of Star Trek: Discovery, the show that kicked off the new era of Trek back in 2017. When last we left our heroes, Michael Burnham was still captain of the Discovery and trying to negotiate a very tense situation involving an advanced alien species that could be capable of destroying all life in the galaxy…or it could be innocent and deserve to be approached with caution and respect. It’s a pickle.

Featuring the talents of actors like Sonequa Martin-Green, Anthony Rapp and Tig Notaro, Discovery has shown that it has legs. We’ll see how much farther it can run when it returns on February 10.

The Cuphead Show — Netflix — February 18

Based on the hard-as-nails-but-gorgeous-to-look-at video game CupheadThe Cuphead Show follows the adventures of Cuphead and Mugman, brothers who get mixed up in an adventure that involves becoming indebted to the devil and needing to collect on all the other souls he’s owed.

Or at least that’s the plot of game. But the plot doesn’t really matter. The real draw of Cuphead is the visuals based on early animation from the 1930s, but updated with color and splendor for modern audiences. The game was gobstoppingly gorgeous and the show looks to be full of style. This is one to look out for.

The Walking Dead season 11, part 2 — AMC — February 20

Hard as it is to believe, The Walking Dead is in its home stretch. After airing for what seems like forever, season 11 is the show’s swan song.

But we have a while to go before we reach that series finale. A new block of episodes will premiere on February 20. Expect to learn much more about the Commonwealth, the biggest and most advanced post-zombie apocalypse civilization any of our survivors have ever seen.

After this next chunk, there will be another break before the one last set of episodes wraps everything up later this year.

Also, note that while the new episodes will officially start airing on February 20, subscribers to AMC+ will get to watch them a week early.
