What time does The Last Kingdom season 5 premiere?

The fifth and final season of The Last Kingdom is coming to Netflix, a handful of new episodes that will wrap up the story of Uhtred son of Uhtred (mostly, more on that below).

We know the final season will drop in its entirety on March 9. But what time on March 9? Most likely, it will drop at 12:00 midnight PST, which is when Netflix normally releases new shows. That means it’ll be out at 1:00 a.m. MST, 2:00 a.m. CST, and 3:00 a.m. EST.

Occasionally, Netflix will release a new show at 3:00 a.m. PST/6:00 a.m. EST, but barring any complications we can expect The Last Kingdom season 5 to drop at the stroke of midnight like normal.

I mentioned that this will be the final season of The Last Kingdom, and that’s true…but it’s not quite the end of the story. As we speak, Netflix is working on a Last Kingdom movie called Seven Kings Must Die. This will adapt the major events in the last few Saxon Stories books by Bernard Cornwell and truly bring the saga of The Last Kingdom to an end.

The Last Kingdom has quietly been one of the best historical shows on TV for years, so it’s cool to see Netflix giving it a worthy sendoff.
