Daredevil has been off the air for a while now, cancelled from Netflix after Disney decided it didn’t want any of its stable of Marvel superheroes having adventures on a rival streaming service. But Disney hasn’t abandoned actor Charlie Cox’s version of the character. Cox even appeared briefly as Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home, signaling that Disney wants to bring him back.

Indeed, Cox himself has hinted that he will return as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, although he was light on details. With today being Disney Investor Day, might the company announce something?

Well, some folk may have already gotten ahead of things. First up, Murphy’s Multiverse (which reported that Cox would return in No Way Home before anyone else) noticed the formation of a new Marvel Studios production company called Blind Faith Productions LLC, which sounds like a reference to the blind hero Daredevil.

That was followed up by @TheComixKid and @MyTimeToShineH, both of whom are known to scoop things online, saying that the Daredevil series is indeed returning, with the original cast in show. @TheComixKid even reached out to Disney about it. The company denied it, but as @TheComixKid pointed out, “it wouldn’t be the first, second or third time they denied something to me to be revealed later.”

Disney+ may give us a more “PG” version of Daredevil

So does this confirm that Daredevil is definitely coming back? No, but the evidence is piling up. And honestly, wasn’t it kind of inevitable? Disney also brought back Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin in Hawkeye, so they seem to be laying the groundwork for a comeback.

Of course, Daredevil on Disney+ may look a bit different than it did on Netflix, which is generally more tolerant of mature themes, violence, nudity, profanity, and the like. On Netflix, Daredevil was rated TV-MA, whereas all of Marvel’s original series on Disney+ have been rated a more mild TV-14.

Will a Disney+ continuation of Daredevil be sanitized? Maybe, but Charlie Cox things they could find a way to make it work anyway. “So if they wanted to make a more PG version of Daredevil, I back them to find a way to do where it feels totally in keeping with everything we’ve done ,” the actor told ComicBook.com. “And maybe there’s a little less blood, maybe there’s a little whatever, but I back them to do it.”

"I guess what you can’t deny is Daredevil is never going to work as well in a PG world as Spider-Man does. Do you know what I mean? That’s [Daredevil’s] point. I think that the age of the character, the Christian guilt, his history with women and stuff, it’s like it’s a little bit more mature, it has to be."

It almost sounds like he’s had some discussions about this…

While we wait for confirmation on this stuff, all three seasons of Daredevil (plus the other Marvel Netflix shows like Luke Cage and Jessica Jones) are coming to Disney+ on March 16.
