Amazon Prime Video has released the trailer for the third season of The Boys, its superhero show for people who hate superheroes. The heroes on this series are selfish, amoral and even psychopathic; if they save anyone, it’s purely by accident. If you’re fed up with upstanding Marvel heroes, this is the show for you.

The trailer teases a lot of what we’ve come to expect from The Boys, including lots of sex, violence and the vile Homelander (the recently emancipated Antony Starr) unhealthily fixated on milk. We also see Supernatural star Jensen Ackles debuting as Soldier Boy, a sort of Captain America parody, except he’s awful.

Finally, there looks to be a big twist where lead character Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) gets superpowers, perhaps taking his crusade about Supes to the next level. Watch below!

Not a single line of dialogue to be heard, but I like that song.

The Boys college spinoff loses two lead actors

The Boys season 3 comes out on June 3. Beyond that, we have an spinoff show to look forward to. There’s no title yet, but it’ll be set at a college for young superheroes. Given the tone of The Boys, I’m expecting a lot of raunch and debauchery.

The show has been in development for a while now, and has gone through some creative changes behind the scenes. Deadline reports that two of the lead actors on the series, Shane Paul McGhie and Aimee Carrero, have both left the series. Their roles will be recast.

There’s no release date for The Boys spinoff as of yet. Title suggestions are welcomed. Supe UThe Boys in the Marching BandAnimal House but with Morally Degenerate Superheroes in Training?
