15 more anime to watch if you love Attack on Titan
10. Claymore
The best part of Attack on Titan is its characters, and many would say the same about Claymore. Set in a world afflicted by shape-shifting demons called Yoma, this anime follows a lead who’s half-human and half-Yoma, a situation Eren Yeager could probably relate to.
Unlike Eren, Clare has been created for the sole purpose of defeating the Yoma. And the companions she picks up on her journey will likely appeal to viewers as much as the members of the Survey Corps.
In addition to a compelling cast of characters, Claymore features plenty of bloody action sequences that will keep viewers engaged. It also rivals Attack on Titan when it comes to its score. And who doesn’t love a good soundtrack to accompany epic onscreen battles?
In general, Claymore will appeal to anyone looking for a solid action-adventure anime to watch while they wait for Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 3. It’s among the most underrated series in the genre, but that just means viewers aren’t as likely to have seen it yet.
11. Knights of Sidonia
Knights of Sidonia takes the premise of a civilization on the brink of collapse and facing a seemingly unbeatable enemy and brings it to space. Falling more firmly into the science fiction genre than Attack on Titan, the anime has similar themes of survival. That’s not to mention how its fast-paced, action-packed story is bound to hook viewers from the get-go.
The anime opens after Earth has been decimated by an alien race called Gauna. Some humans survived and retreated into space, but the Gauna are determined to hunt them down. When they find and attack a seed ship called Sidonia, Nagate Tanikaze and the other characters aboard are tasked with stopping them.
Of course, they can fight back with technology that the Survey Corps could only dream of. But even if the milieu is different than in Attack on Titan, Knights of Sidonia still follows a group of characters fighting for their lives, even if it means venturing outside of the world they know.
