Stunning depiction of The Boys’ Antony Starr as the Reverse Flash
By WiC Staff
Antony Starr has made for himself on The Boys. He plays Homelander, quite possibly the most vile superhero to ever appear in a live-action TV show. Vain, selfish and quite possibly psychopathic, Homelander has become increasingly over the years, a wolf in hero’s clothing who Starr has turned into an icon.
Is it possible he could ever take that talent for playing villains to another superhero franchise? The artist apexform imagined what it would look like if Starr played the Reverse Flash, the greatest foe of the Flash. You can see the artwork here.
With his red eyes and unflappable expression, it’s easy to be afraid of this Reverse Flash.
Antony Starr as the Reverse Flash?
His real name is Eobard Thawne, and he’s a speedster from the future. The Reverse Flash has never appeared in a live-action movie, although he has featured in a number of animated movies and shows and been played by Tom Cavanagh and Matt Letscher in the Arrowverse on The CW.
The Reverse Flash has abilities similar to the Flash, but it’s his merciless attitude that really make him a treat, and that’s something that Starr could easily pull off. We don’t know if Eobard will feature in the upcoming Flash movie featuring Ezra Miller, but we wouldn’t be surprised.
The new Flash movie is out on June 23, 2023. You can see Starr return as Homelander before that in the third season of The Boys, which premieres on June 3 of this year.
