Stranger Things has never had a shortage of lovable characters. Season 4 feels like it takes that to a whole new level, with various groups spread out around the map and some new faces to accompany our longtime favorites.

One of the season’s standout additions is Eddie Munsen, the metalhead dungeon master of the Hawkins High Dungeons & Dragons group, the Hellfire Club. Eddie is a super senior who’s not intimidated by the jocks and has a huge personality. He’s quickly become a new fan favorite.

If you’ve been wondering who plays Eddie, or feeling like he looks a tad bit familiar, you’re in the right place.

Eddie on Stranger Things actor

Eddie Munsen is played on Stranger Things by British actor Joseph Quinn, who’s using an absolutely flawless American accent. Quinn has been acting for quite a while now, appearing in films like Howard’s End, a 2018 BBC production of Les MiserablesCatherine the Great, and Overlord.

But one of the places you’ve most likely seen him recently was in season 7 of Game of Thrones. He played a guard named Koner sworn to House Stark. During Episode 704, “The Spoils of War,” Koner and a fellow guard try to turn Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) away at the gates of Winterfell. It doesn’t take.

Despite having only a small part in Game of Thrones, Quinn’s turn as Eddie in Stranger Things 4 is a huge leap forward that really gave the actor a chance to flex his acting muscles.

Stranger Things 4 Volume II is due to hit Netflix on July 1. It will feature two episodes, one of which is a monstrous two-and-a-half hours. Plenty more quality time with Eddie Munsen.
