Everything to know about House of the Dragon star Emily Carey (Young Alicent Hightower)
Get ready to meet a new group of heroes and villains when House of the Dragon premieres on HBO later this month. The new series will serve as a prequel to Game of Thrones, set around 200 years prior. Though the ending of Thrones left a bad taste in the mouths of some viewers, there is a ton of hype surrounding the upcoming show from diehard fans of the books written by George R.R. Martin and casual fans alike.
House of the Dragon will focus on the Targaryens, who were then at the height of their power. We’ll get to meet characters like Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy), her father King Viserys I Targaryen (Paddy Considine), her uncle Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith), and more.
Another important character in House of the Dragon is Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke), the daughter of the Hand of the King who goes on to become Rhaenyra’s stepmother, which is awkward considering they grew up good friends.
We’ll get to see scenes of Alicent and Rhaenyra together when they’re younger, with their roles being played by Emily Carey and Milly Alcock, respectively. If you’d like to learn more about Emily Carey, here’s everything you need to know!
