The Rings of Power and House of the Dragon are the big new fantasy shows on the block! Why is one getting so much more heat than the other?

It’s time for another episode of Take the Black, where we talk all things sci-fi, fantasy, movies and TV. And right now, there are no bigger fantasy TV shows than House of the Dragon on the one hand and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power on the other.

Time to compare and contrast. Is one better than the other? Are they different enough that pitting them against each other isn’t even useful? And why is The Rings of Power suffering through a backlash that seems to be sparing House of the Dragon? We dig into all of it below:
