Hope you weren’t too attached to Milly Alcock as Rhaenyra Targaryen and Emily Carey as Alicent Hightower on House of the Dragon, because the next episode takes place 10 years after where we left off, and that means a few new actors coming to play. That also means we’ll get to meet new members of the Targaryen family as the next generation starts to grow up.
King Viserys’ (Paddy Considine) first-born son Aegon II (Ty Tennant) looks a lot older in Episode 6 since we saw him last, as does his sister Helaena (Evie Allen). Viserys and Alicent’s (Olivia Cooke) third child Aemond (Leo Ashton) is here now, as are Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) and Laenor’s (John MacMillan) sons. And even Daemon (Matt Smith) will have kids in the next episode, though we won’t get into specifics right now to save you from spoilers.
If you couldn’t tell, a lot will be different starting with the second half of the season. House of the Dragon Episode 6, “The Princess and the Queen,” will almost be like another premiere with how many changes the characters have gone through.
There’s a lot to look forward to as we inch closer to the season finale. But let’s not jump ahead that much; here are some details on Episode 6, including the run time.
House of the Dragon Episode 6 run time
The titles and run times for the rest of the House of the Dragon episodes have been revealed, and “The Princess and the Queen” is a tad longer than usual. You can expect to be watching Episode 6 for one hour and seven minutes.
Episode 6 will premiere on HBO and HBO Max on Sunday, September 25 at 9:00 p.m. EST. If you’re watching on HBO, you’ll get an encore showing right after, followed by a new episode of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver at 11:20 p.m. EST, according to the network’s schedule.
