Check out new photos from the House of the Dragon season 1 finale

House of the Dragon Episode 10

House of the Dragon season 1 comes to the end this Sunday, and ahead of the episode we’ve got brand new photos to obsess over. Though I’m sad this will probably be the last episode we’ll get from the Game of Thrones prequel until at least 2024, I cannot wait to see what Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) and Daemon (Matt Smith) do now that Alicent’s (Olivia Cooke) son Aegon (Tom Glynn-Carney) has been crowned King. This had better be an epic season finale!

Rhaenyra has seemed like a peaceful person throughout the season, but now that she’s been backed into this corner, she might not have any other choice but to get violent. The greens are coming for the blacks and they have to move fast!

While we wait for “The Black Queen” to premiere, check out the images below:

Rhaenys has a message to deliver in House of the Dragon Episode 10

Episode 9 ended with Rhaenys (Eve Best) interrupting Aegon’s coronation by crushing through the floor on Meleys, only to fly off without really doing much. So it looks like she headed to Dragonstone to break the news to Rhaenyra. That’s probably what’s happening in the photo below:

The blacks will surely have to gather together to determine a plan, and in the photo below we see Daemon’s daughters Baela (Bethany Antonia) and Rhaena (Phoebe Campbell), as well as Rhaenyra’s sons Jacaerys (Harry Collett) and Lucerys (Elliot Grihault):

Fire & Blood readers know that this episode will be an important one for Lucerys. Check out the two photos below, where you can see the mother and son duo having a moment, along with a standalone shot of Luke.

Daemon talks with Jace and a special guest

Daemon will surely see the installation of Aegon as king an invitation to war. He was planning to do, and his step-son Jace could be a part of it:

And here, he visits a dragon. But it’s not Caraxes; this could be another one of the dragons who make Dragonstone their home.

Rhaenyra must make big decisions in House of the Dragon Episode 10

This will no doubt be the most difficult episode for Rhaenyra this season. Her life and her family’s lives are in danger now that Aegon is king, and it looks like she’s ready to do something in the two photos below, which show her wearing a dragon-riding outfit.

She seemingly contemplates alone in this awesome shot of her at the Painted Table on Dragonstone:

There will lots of discussions around that table:

Erryk Cargyll offers a crown in House of the Dragon Episode 10

And last but not least, we have a still of Kingsguard knight Erryk Cargyll (Elliot Tittensor). We don’t see him steal Viserys’ (Paddy Considine) crown in Episode 9, but here he is offering it up to someone, who we can assume is Rhaenyra:

If these photos are any indication, there’s going to be a lot of tension in House of the Dragon Episode 10. We can probably expect some chaos and death as well.

The House of the Dragon season 1 finale premieres this Sunday on HBO and HBO Max.
