We’ve made it to the finish line on House of the Dragon, with the season 1 finale airing this Sunday night. Viewers have gotten to know a handful of complicated characters since the premiere in August and have now chosen their sides in the greens vs blacks divide. Fortunately, we know season 2 is in the works, but there’s still so much riding on this finale. Let’s hope it impresses!
From the Episode 10 trailer, we know there will be dragons, drama, and we can assume probably a death or two.
If you haven’t checked out the House of the Dragon season 1 finale preview yet, be sure to watch it here:
With this episode being the conclusion to the first season, you might be wondering if it’ll be supersized. Game of Thrones had some longer episodes in its final seasons, and Stranger Things season 4 had an extra-long finale. Should we expect the same for House of the Dragon?
House of the Dragon Episode 10 (finale) run time
As much as I wish the House of the Dragon season 1 finale would be extra long, that’s not the case. According to HBO’s schedule, the episode will run for one hour and one minute. If you’re tuning in via HBO, it’ll air at 9:00 p.m. ET this Sunday, October 23, and an encore showing will play at 10:01 p.m. If you miss either of those, the episode will play two additional times that night.
If you stream new episodes of House of the Dragon on HBO Max, the finale will be released on the platform at 9:00 p.m. ET Sunday night, and you can rewatch it whenever and as many times as you want once it’s out.
The penultimate episode, “The Green Council,” was a bit disappointing, so fingers crossed that “The Black Queen” blows that one out of the water.
