Carrie-Anne Moss, Dean-Charles Chapman (Tommen from Game of Thrones) and Dafne Keen (Lyra from His Dark Materials) all join the next big Star Wars show.

The upcoming Star Wars TV show The Acolyte has added five new cast members according to a report from Deadline. Carrie-Anne Moss is perhaps the best-known, having previously starred as Trinity in The Matrix trilogy.

But the rest are no slouches. Dean-Charles Chapman (King Tommen from Game of Thrones), Charlie Barnett (Russian Doll), Rebecca Henderson (Inventing Anna) and Dafne Keen (Logan) are also included in the new batch of cast members. They join Amanda Stenberg, Jodie Turner-Smith, Manny Jacinto and Lee Jung-jae. Jae starred in the first season of Netflix’s popular show Squid Game, and rumors have been swirling that he will be portraying Darth Plagueis, the infamous Sith master who trained Emperor Palpatine.

According to Disney, The Acolyte is a mystery thriller that focuses on the shadowy secrets lurking beneath the sheen of the final days of the High Republic, which probably means that it’ll focus on the Sith. The High Republic was a golden era in Star Wars history where the Jedi were heavily involved in galactic affairs. The High Republic era ended around 82 BBY (which is when Palpatine was born), just 50 years prior to the events of The Phantom Menace.

As The Acolyte is set fairly close to the mainline series, so there is a chance we could see characters like Count Dooku and Yoda appear. The Acolyte began filming in October and is slated to wrap in May, meaning it likely won’t hit Disney+ until 2024.
