Speaking with E! News, Game of Thrones star Jacob Anderson (Grey Worm), said he does not expect his character to return in the Jon Snow sequel show currently in development at HBO. “I think he’d be pretty tense if he did,” Anderson said. “I think the only way Grey Worm would show up in that show is to kill Jon Snow.”

Anderson is referencing the final scenes of Game of Thrones, where Jon Snow was exiled to the Wall and Grey Worm went with the Unsullied to the island of Naath. Grey Worm was angry at Jon for assassinating Daenerys and wanted him dead for it. However, Bran Stark became the new king and decided to exile Jon instead, thus avoiding war.

“I don’t think Grey Worm would want to see him again,” Anderson continued. “That was quite a significant condition of him living was like ‘I don’t ever want to see your face again. I’m gonna go my way and your gonna go your way and that’s that.’ I’d be very surprised if we saw Grey Worm again.”

Is HBO making a Jon Snow sequel show?

Details about the Jon Snow show have been scarce. We don’t even know if it will ever make it to air; “in development” is no guarantee that it’ll ever see the light of day. But if Snow does grace our TV screens, it’s probably safe to say we won’t see many characters from the original series turn up. The most likely character to return is Tormund Gianstbane, since he was with Jon Snow the last time we saw him.

Since Game of Thrones ended, Anderson has appeared in Interview with a Vampire, Doctor Who and will star in the upcoming film Timestalker.
