We’re almost at the end of The White Lotus season 2, meaning we’ll (hopefully) get all our questions answered in just a couple of weeks. Who are the dead bodies we see in the premiere, and seriously, what’s up with Greg (Jon Gries)? The most recent episode, “That’s Amore,” gave us even more to gasp at and speculate over, especially that final scene.

Warning: This article contains SPOILERS for The White Lotus season 2!

After the new episode of The White Lotus wrapped, viewers took to social media to discuss the wild twist, where Jennifer Coolidge’s Tanya saw Essex hunk Jack (Leo Woodall) having sex with his rich uncle Quentin (Tom Hollander). Now we’re all left questioning whether or not the two are really related and if the supposed rich guys are somehow scamming Tanya (Jennifer Coolidge) for her money.

HBO’s has another hit show with incest in it

Two stars of The White Lotus spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the big twist. Haley Lu Richardson, who plays Tanya’s assistant and Jack’s love interest Portia, joked: “That’s the moral of season 2: you’ve got to look inward, you’ve got to go to therapy, or else whoever you’re f**king is also going to be f**king their uncle.”

Richardson’s co-star Adam DiMarco, who plays the lovesick Albie, added: “I mean, people love Game of Thrones for this very reason,” to which the actress responded: “Oh my god, HBO loves something about uncle-f**king!”

While many speculate Jack is simply an escort that Quentin hired and is passing off as his nephew, it didn’t take long for the comparisons to Game of Thrones and the new prequel show House of the Dragon to begin. In the prequel, main character Rhaenyra Targaryen marries her uncle Daemon, and they have two kids.

Naturally, fans are making plenty of jokes:

After calling the incest in House of the Dragon “hot,” Richardson and DiMarco went on to tease what we can expect from the final two episodes of The White Lotus season 2:

"Yeah, it’s a slow burn that gets kicked into high gear. [Creator] Mike [White] is so great at crafting these slow burns and then at a certain point it just explodes and we’re at that point now. It’s just explosions everywhere, explosions at the fireworks factory."

The White Lotus season 2 continues this Sunday, December 4 at 9:00 p.m. ET. Only time will tell whether or not there’s actually uncle-loving going on here.

Next. Carice van Houten would play Melisandre again “if the storyline was good”. dark
