“The Phenomenon returns”: Watch the trailer for Outlander season 7
By Dan Selcke
2022 was a big year for genre TV, but 2023 is here to try and top it. One cause for celebration: the return of the Outlander, the time-traveling romance saga based on the books by Diana Gabaldon.
The sixth season of Outlander came out after a longer wait than usual, in part because the pandemic slowed down production. For the same reason, we got fewer episodes than usual as well. But the seventh season is going to make up for lost time. Not only will it premiere sooner than many thought, it will have 16 episodes in total, upping the ante on what’s come before.

Outlander season 7 will premiere in the summer of 2023
The big news is that Outlander will return to our TV screens sometime this summer. Given continued pandemic restrictions, the long production time, and the number of episodes, some fans didn’t think it would be out that soon, but here we are: Merry Christmas.
Season 6 left us off on a cliffhanger as Claire Fraser was hauled away for a murder she didn’t commit, with her husband Jamie chasing after her. This isn’t the first time the couple has been torn apart, and we doubt season 7 will be the last time they’re reunited.
Although apparently Claire’s trial goes badly enough that she has a noose put around her neck; wait for a last-minute save from Jamie there.
The end of the Droughtlander is in sight!
