3. Star Wars: Andor

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was a breath of fresh air for the galaxy far, far away. Instead of once again returning to the Skywalker Saga, it told the story of the little-known sacrifices that history doesn’t remember. Lucasfilm continued in that vein with Andor, inarguably one of the best things to ever come out of the Star Wars franchise.

Set years before the events of the first Star Wars movie, A New Hope, the show primarily focuses on the backstory of Cassian Andor, showing us how he went from being a smuggler looking to stay out of trouble to a committed spy in the Rebel Alliance. However, showrunner Tony Gilroy introduces other memorable characters as well. Be it a mechanic who refuses to give up on her friend, a prison inmate who leads a rebellion, or an old lady who initiates an uprising from beyond the grave, Andor remembers to remember the little efforts that paved the way for the Empire’s eventual demise.

Moreover, Stellan Skarsgård’s monologue in the penultimate episode is definitely going down in history as one of the top moments of the entire franchise.

2. Wednesday

Presently the second-most watched English language show in the history of Netflix, Wednesday brings back the beloved Wednesday Addams from the iconic Addams Family. True to her brand, Wednesday gets herself expelled from regular school for trying to kill a bully and ends up at Nevermore Academy. A couple of murders later, she gets down to business investigating the alleged “monster” who is killing people, and things begin to roll downhill.

Jenna Ortega plays the titular role, while Christina Ricci, who played Wednesday in the 1990s Addams Family movies, stars in the show as a teacher at Nevermore Academy. The show has become quite the sensation, some of it owing to Wednesday’s viral dance scene. The show keeps things light, but in a dark, ooky-spooky way.
