A Song of Thrones and Dragons: 5 things to look forward to in 2023

With the premiere of House of the Dragon, 2022 was a huge year for the Game of Thrones fandom! What wonders will 2023 bring?

Game of Thrones ended in 2019, and suddenly the fandom had nothing new to talk about, unless you count grousing about the problems with the final season, which I do.

But this year, that all changed when HBO premiered House of the Dragon, a Game of Thrones prequel series set over 100 years before the story we know. The cast is new, the story is new, but the vibes are familiar.

The show was a hit pretty much right out of the gate and really got people talking about all things Game of Thrones again. Unfortunately, we won’t see any new episodes until 2024. So what does that leave for 2023?

That’s what we’re here to talk about. What is coming for fans of A Song of Ice and FireGame of Thrones and House of the Dragon in the new year? Discovery the answer, in video form!

The gist of the video is that there isn’t a lot on the way in 2023, or if there is, we don’t know about it. The best we can do is make some educated guesses. Wouldn’t it be cool if they announced another Game of Thrones spinoff? That one sounds likely, at least if you ask me. And wouldn’t it be super-cool if George R.R. Martin announced that he’d finished work on The Winds of Winter? Don’t hold your breath on that one.

We’ll see what the new year holds together. Happy new year, everyone!
