Supernatural star Jensen Ackles has already voiced Bruce Wayne in the animated movies Batman: The Long Halloween, Parts One and Two. He’s also played a superhero on The Boys: the violent, jingoistic Soldier Boy. But what would it look like if he combined those two experiences and played Batman in live-action?

That’s a question that illustrator horrific.heroics set out to answer. Check out an image of Ackles in the Batman suit here.

Horrific.heroics has quite a lot of superhero concept art, including renderings of Michael Fassbender as Lex Luthor, Jaimie Alexander as Wonder Woman, and much more.

Who besides Robert Pattinson is going to play a live-action Batman?

From Adam West to Michael Keaton to Christian Bale to Ben Affleck, a lot of people have played Batman onscreen over the years. At the moment, the best-known live-action Batman is Robert Pattison, who played the superhero in 2022’s The Batman and is on tap for a sequel.

But as DC’s most popular character (with the possible exception of Superman), we often have more than one version of Batman running at a time. The Batman is sequestered in its own little pocket universe, but as new DC Studios CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran build out their own version of the DC Universe, will they want their own version? What about the Joker movies with Joaquin Phoenix? Will we ever meet Batman there?

So there are opportunities for another actor to play Batman onscreen in the near future. Maybe it’ll be Ackles, who knows?

Next. The Flash’s final season will feature multiple Arrowverse cameos. dark
