How long is The Last of Us Episode 3? (“Long Long Time” run time)
HBO’s live-action adaptation of The Last of Us has been getting more viewers each week, and now that we’re onto the third episode, I’m curious to see if that continues. Episode 3 is my personal favorite of the season so far, but with the showrunners already aware that some changes they’ve made from the game might bother diehard fans, I’m sure there will be divided opinions.
Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) are out of the QZ in Episode 3, “Long Long Time,” and we’ll get to meet two new characters: Bill (Nick Offerman) and Frank (Murray Bartlett). As teased in the preview, the next episode will focus on these two and explain why they’re important to Joel.
The episodes of The Last of Us so far haven’t been consistent in terms of run time; the premiere was one hour and 25 minutes, while the second episode ran for 56 minutes. If you’re a fan of the longer episodes, you’re in luck because Episode 3 is over an hour again.
The Last of Us Episode 3 run time
As seen on HBO’s schedule, The Last of Us Episode 3 comes in at 1 hour and 20 minutes, which is just shy of the premiere’s run time. “Long Long Time” will air three more times after it premieres at 9:00 p.m. EST on HBO, so if you’re tuning in through the channel, you’ll have multiple chances to catch it on Sunday night. And of course, if you watch the series on HBO Max, you can stream the new episode at any time starting at 9:00 p.m. EST this Sunday.
The Last of Us Episode 3 will be a bit of a departure from previous episodes given how focused it is on these two new characters, and if you cry easily, we’d recommend getting the tissues out before starting.
