18. Cersei Lannister and Euron Greyjoy

Euron Greyjoy starts sizing Cersei Lannister up the moment he sets eyes on her in the season 7 premiere. Honestly, I don’t think it really mattered what Cersei looked like; Euron wanted power and getting together with the queen seemed like a good way to get it; that Lena Headey is rapturously beautiful was just a bonus.

Euron made boorish passes at Cersei (often in front of Jaime, which seemed to be part of the point for Euron) for the next several episodes, with Cersei using his attraction to inspire his loyalty in her war against Daenerys. She only broke down and slept with him after he hinted his loyalty could fade, indicating that Cersei was mainly in this relationship for the military alliance.

Still, they’re sort of a good fit? They both have questionable morals, they both love power, and they appeared to enjoy their tryst at the top of season 8 well enough.

But it’s hard to know for sure, because like a lot of other things in the final two seasons, the relationship wasn’t explored in much depth. There’s probably a version of the show where these two are the evil power couple from hell, but as it stands, they’re just kind of a footnote.
