Luckily for sci-fi fans, we didn’t have to wait too long into the new year for new Star Wars content, with The Mandalorian season 3 arriving on Disney+ on March 1. The highly anticipated season kicked off with the premiere last week, which sent Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu on a very important mission. Mando is looking for redemption after removing his helmet in season 2 and in turn being ostracized by his people.

After meeting with the Armorer (Emily Swallow) at the start of the season 3 premiere, Din Djarin decides he’ll go back to the mines of Mandalore to prove their home still exists, and to bathe in the cleansing waters of a sacred spring, which means he’ll be forgiven his violation of the Mandalorian creed. But of course, it’s not an easy trek. I’d bet it might take all season for him to get there, which, hopefully, will be a fun journey for us at home watching. Though the first episode of season 3, “Chapter 17: The Apostate,” didn’t exactly wow me, I’m still excited for what’s to come next.

Speaking of, the second episode of The Mandalorian season 3 drops in the early hours of Wednesday, March 8. Learn when and how you can tune in below!

The first two seasons of The Mandalorian were extremely strong, but with over two years passed since the second installment concluded and multiple live-action Star Wars shows released since then, I’m a little nervous the third season just won’t live up to the ones before. There are eight episodes total again this time around, so there’s plenty of opportunity for the season to prove me wrong. I hope that happens!
