The original Walking Dead series ended last year, but AMC is nowhere near done with this franchise. They’re opening up The Walking Dead Universe with a show about Rick and Michonne, a show about Daryl, a spinoff about Maggie and Negan called Dead CityTales of the Walking Dead, and a final season of Fear the Walking Dead.

And there’s more on the way: according to ComicBook.com, AMC is making a new show called More Tales From the TWDU, a play on Tales of the Walking Dead, which was a six-episode series that brought back characters from throughout the original series to star in standalone episodes. More Tales From the TWDU would be a short-form series, meaning we can expect the shorter episodes to be available to watch on AMC+, on YouTube, or maybe played in between commercial breaks of longform Walking Dead series, rather than aired on AMC as a series onto itself.

Also, More Tales from the TWDU is a working title, which is good because it’s pretty unwieldy. Maybe Short Tales of the Walking DeadVignettes of the Walking Dead? I’m spitballing here.

The Walking Dead spinoff release calendar

There’s no release date set as of yet for Tales of the Walking Dead: Bite-Sized. However, the eighth and final season of Fear the Walking Dead will premiere on May 14. Dead City will premiere soon after in June and the Daryl Dixon show is also expected to air this year, so there will be plenty to keep Walking Dead fans occupied in the meantime.
