The streaming rankings for the week of April 12-18 are out, and as usual, Netflix is stomping on everyone. Fully five Netflix programs show up on the list, including The Last Kingdom movie Seven Kings Must Die, which premiered on April 14.

Seven Kings Must Die brings to an end the long winding journey of Uhtred of Bebbanburg, who labored over the course of five seasons of TV to carve out a place for him and his companions in medieval England. The movie was pretty good, if not quite up to par with the best of the TV show, and we’re glad it’s getting its moment in the sun.

The Mandalorian tops The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die on streaming charts

Seven Kings Must Die ends on an ambiguous note that leaves viewers unsure if Uhtred lives or dies. And that’s the way star Alexander Dreymon likes it. “I’m actually very happy with the way that it ends because there’s that ambiguity,” he said. “You see everything that he’s fought for his whole life and he’s believed in… because the idea of Valhalla and heaven has been such a big character in the show in a way. And that he has the option of going to the feast hall – that he aches for so much – is beautiful to see. But it really shows that he’s a man who’s had a full life and who is loved by the people who are still there.”

Meanwhile, while Netflix rules the chart, Disney+ claimed the top spot with The Mandalorian. Congrats all around!
