Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is one of only a handful of characters to have completed a trilogy of movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and he’s not done quite yet. The world will always need Spider-Man, and Holland is keen to continue Peter Parker’s story. Right now the character’s return is in limbo: Holland is down to return and scripts are being worked on…but nothing is confirmed.

Tom Holland has been popping up everywhere recently. Most recently, he worked on Apple TV+’s thriller The Crowded Room, and he’s got a Fred Astaire biopic on the way. It’s gotten to the point where he’s planning a short hiatus from acting to recharge.

Still, the likelihood of him returning for more movies as the web-slinger is pretty much a certainty. Beyond solo films, he’ll probably have roles in movies like Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars as well. Marvel hasn’t announced a new Spider-Man movie, but speaking to Inverse, the actor confirmed that there’s “some stuff going on.” But there’s a catch. “Whether or not it’ll come to fruition, who knows?” he admitted. “But right now it’s looking pretty good, and we’ll just have to wait and see.”

No live-action Spider-Man actor has ever completed four solo movies. Tobey Maguire managed to complete a trilogy, while Andrew Garfield’s Amazing Spider-Man franchise was axed after just two outings. A fourth movie for Holland’s Spidey would break records.

Tom Holland would be “honored” to welcome Miles Morales into a live-action Spider-Man movie!

The Spider-Verse is vast. The last live-action Spider-film, No Way Home, opened up the multiverse and saw Holland’s Spider-Man team up with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s iterations of the character to battle a ton of classic villains. It was a nerd’s dream come true.

The next logical step is to introduce Miles Morales, star of the animated Spider-Verse movies. Nothing is happening yet, so this is all just talk, but Holland is very interested in it. “I would be honored to bring Miles Morales into the live action world. How we do that, I don’t know, but given the opportunity, I would jump at it,” he said. Are you listening, Kevin Feige?

Miles Morales is back with a bang in Across the Spider-Verse, which is currently in theaters. A sequel to that movie, Beyond the Spider-Verse, is due out next year. It remains to be seen when Tom Holland will swing back into action.
