Will Henry Cavill return as The Witcher season 4?

The third season of The Witcher is out now on Netflix. Or, well, the first five episodes are. The last three won’t come out until next month.
Season 3 is important because it’s the last time Henry Cavill will play the lead role of Geralt of Rivia, the taciturn monster hunter who’s become a father figure to Princess Ciri, who happens to be a child of destiny who just about everyone wants to find and use for their own ends.
This is the last time that Cavill will play Geralt. Starting in season 4, the role will be played by Liam Hemsworth. Henry Cavill will not return as The Witcher in season 4.

However, season 4 won’t come out for a long while, probably next year at the earliest. There are three more episodes to come in season 3, and Henry Cavill will be part of those.
Those three episodes drop on Netflix on July 27. At that point, Henry Cavill will have appeared in 24 episodes of The Witcher. And that’s all he’ll ever be in, however much fans wanted him to stick around.
As for the matter of why Henry Cavill is leaving the role of Geralt only partway through the series, that remains a mystery, although we have our theories:
