Here’s what David Corenswet will look like as Superman

David Corenswet, best known for his roles in Ryan Murphy dramas like Hollywood and The Politician, has officially been cast as Clark Kent in James Gunn’s new movie Superman: Legacy. That movie is supposed to start a whole new DC cinematic universe, so Corenswet has a lot resting on his shoulders.

What will he look like in the red-and-blue tights? We don’t know yet, but deepfake artist stryder HD is here to help. Watch the new deepfake video they’ve put together below!

I imagine this was a relatively easy video to put together, at least compared to some of stryder’s other work, and he’s done a lot of great work. That’s because Cavill and Corenswet kind of look alike; that may be part of the reason Corenswet was cast in the first place.

Superman: Legacy will not be an origin story

We don’t know exactly what Superman will get up to in Legacy, but we know that it won’t retell the story of his origins: sent into space as a baby from Krypton, lands in Kansas, raised by farmers, etc. James Gunn has rightly said that people probably already know that yarn pretty well by now.

Also, we know that The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star Rachel Brosnahan will star as Lois Lane, but we don’t have a deepfake for her yet, much less seen her in costume. All things in time…
