What an ending to the first half of Outlander season 7! It was tense, chaotic, and everything we could have asked for. While it was great for some characters, it was a bit stressful for others, namely Brianna (Sophie Skelton) and Roger (Richard Rankin). As we all witnessed, Brianna and Roger’s son Jemmy (Blake Johnston Miller) was abducted and taken through the stones by Rob Cameron (Chris Fulton).

In an effort to save him, Roger goes through the stones with William Buccleigh MacKenzie (Diarmaid Murtagh). And this all is going down at the same time Jamie (Sam Heughan), Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Young Ian (John Hunter Bell) make their way back to Scotland.

So much is going on in Outlander, and we can only imagine that more chaos is headed our way in the back half of Season 7. At least that is what executive producer Maril Davis told RadioTimes.com!

“It’s funny, I was just thinking about that this morning. The first half was so good but I’m so excited for people to see the second half because I think the second half is almost even better. It’s just, there’s so many twists and turns and up and downs and just crazy stuff that happens to our characters,” said Davis. “If anything, I think we’ve just ratcheted it up one more level for the second half. I’m super excited. I know it’s a while to go potentially till we see that second half but it’s even more exciting probably than the first half.”

Davis couldn’t stop talking about how wild season 7, Part 2 will be. She said that people need to “buckle their seatbelts” for the second half. I don’t think I am ready for this, ya’ll!

During this season of Outlander, fans have been very vocal about the fact that Jamie and Claire haven’t been the show’s focal point. While I do understand that sentiment, I think it has been an amazing season of character development for everyone involved. I’ve loved seeing more of Ian’s story grow and develop, along with Brianna and Roger settling into the present day with their family.

It’s really going to be an amazing rest of the season, especially based on the sneak peek above. There is so much to look forward to, including when the second part of the season will premiere sometime next year. Stay tuned for updates!
