Louis and Lestat return in first photos from Interview With The Vampire season 2
By Dan Selcke
The first season of Interview With The Vampire on AMC took Anne Rice’s 1978 debut novel and gave it an exciting new infusion of fresh blood, setting itself apart from the 1994 movie while still being recognizable to anyone who loves Rice’s kind of moody bloodsucker. When last we left them, the vampires Louis and Claudia had killed Lestat, the senior member of their little band, and left the U.S. for the Continent. What happens next?
Well, we already got a little teaser a while back. As in the book, Louis and Claudia will head for Paris, where they’ll meet other vampires. As for Lestat, he may not be quite as dead as we all think…
Per TV Insider, AMC has now released some new photos of Louis (Jacob Anderson), looking worried as ever…
…and of Lestat (Sam Reid), dressed to the nines:
It’s hard to know exactly when these scenes take place. When last we left Lestat, he was barely clinging to immortal life, but he looks pretty hale here. Maybe we’ll get a flashback to his earlier days in Paris? I’m sure Lestat will be on Louis’ mind as he travels through France.
When will Interview With The Vampire season 2 air on AMC?
In Interview With the Vampire season 2, Louis and Claudia will meet a group of vampires who run a theater. That has inspired some pretty wicked poster art:
From top to bottom, these posters read, “Memory is a monster,” “Lover is a monster,” and “Family is a monster.” That’s actor Delainey Hayles as Claudia, taking over for Bailey Bass from season 1.
Interview With The Vampire season 2 is due out in 2024, although it’s possible that things could get held up by the ongoing writers and actors strikes. Last we heard, work on season 2 had shut down production.
