If you haven’t heard of Warrior, don’t worry: I’m going to change your life. You can thank me later.

Warrior is a martial arts drama that began life on Cinemax. The show, which is about Chinese gang wars in San Francisco in the 1870s, was excellent, but Cinemax canceled it after two seasons, because who’s watching Cinemax?

Happily, Max (formerly HBO Max) swooped in and gave the show a third season, which just wrapped up a couple weeks ago. The show has never had a ton of buzz, which is criminal, because it’s stupendous. The drama is juicy, the characters are complex, the show is beautiful, and the action scenes kick so much butt it’s hard to sit down afterwards. It’s a high-quality show I think a lot of people would enjoy if they only gave it a chance.

Help #RenewWarrior for season 4

Star Andrew Koji has said that he has a “gut feeling” that “we got a very good chance” to get a fourth season. Of course, he said that before all the actors and writers in Hollywood went on strike, which has introduced a level of uncertainty into the situation. If Warrior is going to get renewed, it needs all the help it can get.

And that can include you! Over on Change.org, Li Takeshi has started a petition to get the show another season. If you’re interested, head over and sign it! (Even if you’re not interested, what’s the worst that can happen? Go ahead and sign. It’ll be fun.)

I don’t know whether Warrior will get a fourth season, but I love the show, so I’ll do what I can to show Warner Bros. Discovery that there’s an eager fanbase that wants one. #RenewWarrior
