James Gunn is not holding back when it comes to pointing out mistakes apparent in the version of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 currently streaming on Disney+. He took to Threads to explain a difference he noticed on the streaming service.

We have all been patiently waiting for the third installment of the Guardians franchise to hit Disney+, if only to cry our eyes out again. That movie was an emotional rollercoaster that I am still reeling from.

Like many movies on Disney+, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 can be watched in its original theatrical aspect ratio or the IMAX Enhanced ratio. But there are some issues with the latter.

James Gunn points out IMAX-sized error on Disney+

So what was the issue James Gunn was pointing out? On the thumbnail watching Guardians 3 with the IMAX ratio, it suggested that the movie is cropped to fit the screen, which Gunn stated was false.

This could be an accidental error that was overlooked, but thanks to Gunn’s comments, the image was updated, and viewers can now properly choose whether they want to watch the movie in standard or IMAX ratio. Alls well that ends well!

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was a fantastic, heartfelt, and adorable movie, a sweet sendoff for this motley crew of misfits. I am so happy that it is now on Disney+ for all of us to watch and appreciate again, either in standard or IMAX ratio.

And while James Gunn may be done with the Marvel chapter of his life, there is still more Starlord to come, so hang tight, Guardians will continue to live on in some capacity!
