Trailer: Win $4.56 million on Netflix’s Squid Game reality show

Squid Game is a dystopian drama about a group of ultra-rich sociopaths who rope desperately indebted people into playing a series of children’s games for their entertainment. If they win, they get a ton of money. If they lose, they die.
Squid Game is also Netflix’s most successful show ever, so it makes sense the streamer would want a spinoff. Enter Squid Game: The Challenge, a reality show where contestants compete in the games from the series (plus some “surprising new additions,” according to Deadline) in order to win a grand prize of $4.56 million, the highest cash sum ever given out on a reality competition show.
We assume — we assume — that no one’s going to die on the way to claiming that prize. But the creepy dystopian undertones remain. Watch the trailer below:

Sticking with the creepy vibes, AMC has released a trailer for the second half of Fear the Walking Dead season 8. These will be the final six episodes of the show. Watch below:

Fear the Walking Dead was the first spinoff of The Walking Dead that AMC produced. It’s now lived a full life of its own. Now AMC has other spinoffs to replace it, like Dead City and Daryl Dixon.
Fear the Walking Dead will come back on October 22.

That’s a lot of intensity. Let’s bring things down a bit with one more new trailer. This one is for Tales of the Shire, a new video game set in The Lord of the Rings universe. The trailer doesn’t give many clues about what the game actually entails, but it doesn’t look like it will involve any zombies, orcs or capitalist hellscapes. Watch below:
Whatever this game is, it looks very chill. Maybe a farming simulator? A dating sim? We need this right now.
Tales of the Shire: A Lord of the Rings Game is coming out for consoles and PC sometime in 2024.
