Rick Riordan announces another new Percy Jackson book
By Dan Selcke
Percy Jackson is back in the conversation, and author Rick Riordan is not letting the opportunity pass him by. His book series about a young man who finds out that he’s the son of the Greek god Poseidon is getting an adaptation on Disney+ this December, and he’s capitalizing by picking up Percy’s story where he left off in 2009’s The Last Olympians: the latest Percy Jackson book, The Chalice of the Gods, came out on September 26!
The Chalice of the Gods found Percy in his senior year of high school. Now it sounds like Riordan will continue in that vein with another new book: Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Wrath of the Triple Goddess, which is due out on September 24 of next year.
Riordan made the announcement at a recent event. Watch below:

With a new book out, another on the way, and the Disney+ show coming out soon, Rick Riordan is riding high. The Disney+ show in particular has the potential to bring the story of Percy Jackson to a whole new audience, which will funnel people to his books, which will raise interest in future seasons of the show, and on and on it will go until Riordan is living in a golden-roofed house on Mount Olympus.
As for Wrath of the Triple Goddess, we don’t know much about it except that it will involve the goddess Hecate as well as Percy’s faithful hell-hound Mrs. O’ Leary. We’ll find out more next year.
