Episode 4 — “The Black Cat”
In the fourth episode, “The Black Cat,” we witness one of my worst nightmares. Not because it’s creepy, but just because I’m highly allergic to cats and I’d be sneezing my head off the entire time if I were Leo. Also, Leo is officially the Worst Boyfriend Ever.
This episode is about how issues, if not dealt with, will become a bigger problem. And hey, it never hurts to be honest, even if it involves the fact you killed your significant other’s cat.
The noise in the basement. That’s all.
"Enhance."
We see more of Griswold teaching Roderick how to be a terrible person, how Dupin and Roderick started working together to try and bring Griswold down for fraud, and see Vic be a horrible liar to a very familiar patient (hi, Verna) just so she can try and do a human trial when her project is definitely not ready for it. A lot of interesting things happening in this episode. Freddy is also both a terrible dad and a very weird person. Like, Crispin Glover in Charlie’s Angels level of creepy.
Leo starts to have feline issues with this demonic cat, and it literally costs him his life. First, his sanity goes as she starts to leave gross trophies before hiding “in the walls.” Then he starts to break holes into the walls, looking for said cat. He eventually throws himself off the balcony and onto the sidewalk while chasing this cat, trying to get rid of her once and for all.
The poor guy.
I mean, he wasn’t poor, but you get it.
Three out of six remain.
