Episode 6 — “Goldbug”

The sixth episode, “Goldbug,” starts off with Tammy realizing that she’s so exhausted that she’s constantly falling asleep and losing time. She’s too busy with her product launch and with her separation from William, so she didn’t notice these little blips until now. And then there are the hallucinations. When your ex-husband is talking to you and you don’t realize you’ve had a blip, that’s pretty bad.

Now the “woman from the bar” has been mentioned a few times, and though Madeline seems to be concerned with her, Roderick really isn’t, or he pretends she doesn’t exist. Lenore tries to talk to him about her dad acting “off” lately, but it goes nowhere. Roderick tells Lenore he sees all his dead children and that they keep him up at night. He starts to open up a bit… but closes with “It’s been quite a week.”

"It just shows to go you, you don’t really know anyone, do you?"

Yeah, Freddy is really cranking up the creep level at this point.

Imagine how hard it must be to be super young and married to a super-rich and powerful man whose kids absolutely hate you. Poor Juno. She finally gets a moment to let things out and really talk about her feelings, but it’s unfortunately wasted on the cold-hearted Tammy. June and Lenore are the real victims in this show, except Juno gets to do better with what she’s given in the end.

We see Tammy start to really lose it as exhaustion creeps up on her and causes her to slip. The hiccups become more and more frequent and inconvenient, and eventually deadly. Poor Juno takes a microphone stand to the head while being super-supportive — the two shared what seemed to be a sweet moment a bit earlier — which could very well have killed her. Tammy runs away after having completely destroying her launch and probably her brand. She dies yelling at “herself” in her own empty house, impaled by glass pieces from her ceiling. Why would you want a mirror on the ceiling over you bed??? Rich people, I swear.

Madeleine tries to hold on to this elusive woman, but she turns into smoke and poofs away.

Five Usher kids down. One to go.
